Scope
The Special Session on Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) intends to bring together several communities that are in the crossroads of agent technology, including software engineering, artificial intelligence, distributed systems and networking, to discuss the state-of-the-art in the area of multi-agent systems. This paradigm can effectively address problems in open distributed systems, where issues related to security, communication, coordination and intelligent organizations arise. The Cloud offers interesting new opportunities in the areas of multi-agent systems modeling and development. This is a rich interdisciplinary area that requires both innovative R&D in the areas of knowledge representation, interoperability, communication languages, and system architectures. MAS invites quality papers describing original research ideas and new findings on technological aspects of multi-agent systems, in particular papers describing methods, techniques, recent advances, applications and tools that may related to cloud computing and/or services computing in the present or in the near future.
