Abstract: Digital healthcare infrastructure run in multi-cluster systems of possibly heterogeneous devices. Each system clusters operate within distinct administrative domains, and maintain its own security policies and routines for exchanging data, and controlling interactions among its components. As healthcare systems become more digitally integrated, lack of integration, and safe interpretation between heterogeneous systems clusters become problematic, and might lead to policy violations. Here, high communication overhead, and computation consumption might impact the system at different levels. To improve interoperability and flow of information among system's clusters, this paper explores the challenges, opportunities, and future work lie within digital healthcare systems.
