Brief Bio
Markus Helfert is Director of the Business Informatics Group at Dublin City University, and a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at the School of Computing, Dublin City University (Ireland). He is senior academic at Lero - The Irish Software Research Centre. He is a research affiliate at The Open Government Institute at Zeppelin University in Germany. His research interests include Information Management, Innovation, Cloud Computing, Service Science, Enterprise Architecture and Open Data and Smart Cities. Currently he advises several small and medium sized Enter prise in relation to Innovation and IT Management. Markus Helfert has authored more than 200+ academic articles, journal and book contributions and has presented his work at international conferences. He is member of international programme committees and reviewer and associate editor of several IS journals. Dr. Helfert has received national and international grants from agencies such as European Union (FP7; H2020), Science Foundation Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. Prior to his appointment at Dublin City University, he held a research position at the Institute of Information Management at the University of St. Gallen. Dr. Helfert holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), an MSc from the University of Mannheim (Germany) and a BSc from Napier University in Scotland (UK). ... More >>

Brief Bio
Prof. Dr. Jorge Cardoso is Associate Professor and joined the Information System Group at the University of Coimbra in 2009. He is currently undertaking research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Previously he worked for several major companies such as SAP Research (Germany) on the Internet of Services, the Boeing Company in Seattle (USA) on Enterprise Application Integration and CCG/Zentrum für Graphische Datenverarbeitung on Computer Supported Cooperative Work. Dr. Cardoso has a PhD from the University of Georgia (USA). From the scientific side, he has authored/co-aut ored/edited more than 130 scientific publications and has been part of more than 120 program committees and organization bodies, mainly on the fields of services, semantic web, and business process management. He is the Vice-Chair of the Semantic Keyword-based Search on Structured Data Sources COST Action. Dr. Donald F. Ferguson is vice president and chief technology officer for Dell’s Software Group. Dell named Don a Senior Fellow in January 2013 Don is the only person to have been an IBM Fellow, Microsoft Technical Fellow and Dell Senior Fellow. Don leads the architecture, implementation design, technical strategy and innovation for Dell Software Group products and solutions. Don also works with colleagues across Dell to help ensure integration and innovation for software solutions spanning all of Dell’s businesses. Dr. Víctor Méndez Muñoz has a main background in big data management and distributed systems. He participated in scientific international projects in physics and bioinformatics like AGATA, LHCb, ENRM and EISCAT, collaborating with several more. Currently, he is Head of Software Development at Mind the Byte, a bioinformatics company specializing in computational drug discovery using a pay-per-use SaaS platform (Software as a Service). He also works in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) as a part time professor.
