Brief Bio
Radu Prodan is a professor in Edge AI at the Department of Computer Science, University of Innsbruck, Austria. Previously, he held a professorship in distributed systems at the University of Klagenfurt. He received his PhD in 2004 from the Vienna University of Technology and his tenure in 2018 from the University of Innsbruck. His research interests are in AI methods and resource management tools for federated applications in distributed and parallel systems. He participated in numerous national and European projects and coordinated two European projects. He authored over 300 publications and received three IEEE
Best Paper Awards.

Valeria Cardellini is a full professor of computer science in the Department of Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. She received her PhD degree in computer science from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2001. Her research interests are in the field of distributed software systems, including Cloud and Edge systems and services, resource management and self-adaptation, quality assurance. She has co-authored more than 100 publications in international journals and conferences and serves on the editorial boards of IEEE TPDS and Elsevier JPDC and on the
technical program committees of system and performance conferences.
