The overall concept of ClouT, a joint European-Japanese project, is leveraging the Cloud Computing as an enabler to bridge the Internet of Things with Internet of People via Internet of Services, to establish an efficient communication and collaboration platform exploiting all information sources to make the cities smarter and to help them facing the emerging challenges such as efficient energy management, economic growth and development.

TRESCCA project - TRustworthy Embedded Systems for Secure Cloud Computing Applications

The TRESCCA project - TRustworthy Embedded Systems for Secure Cloud Computing Applications aims to lay the foundations of a secure and trustable cloud platform by ensuring strong logical and physical security on the edge devices, using both hardware security and virtualization techniques while considering the whole cloud architecture.

The main goal of MODAClouds is to provide methods, a decision support system, an open source IDE and run-time environment for the high-level design, early prototyping, semi-automatic code generation, and automatic deployment of applications on multi-Clouds with guaranteed QoS.

SPECS Project

SPECS project aims at developing and implementing an open source framework to offer Security-as-a-Service, by relying on the notion of security parameters specified in Service Level Agreements (SLA), and also providing the techniques to systematically manage their life-cycle.

SECCRIT - SEcure Cloud computing for CRitical infrastructure IT

The SECCRIT (SEcure Cloud computing for CRitical infrastructure IT) project is a multidisciplinary research project with the mission to analyse and evaluate cloud computing technologies with respect to security risks in sensitive environments, and to develop methodologies, technologies, and best practices for creating a secure, trustworthy, and high assurance cloud computing environment for critical infrastructure IT. The project is classed as a small-to-medium sized collaborative EU-funded research project in the 7th Framework Programme (FP7-SEC-2012-1). The project consortium is comprised of ten partners from Austria, Finland, Germany, Greece, Spain and the UK. The project will last three years with a funding of 3.4 Mio EUR.

CloudFlow project

CloudFlow has the ambition to provide a Cloud Computing infrastructure based on existing technology and standards that allows SME software vendors to offer current and future customers (being it SME or bigger companies) new cloud services along and across the engineering and manufacturing chain - even vendor independent. CloudFlow covers Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), especially. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) including pre- and post-processing, simulation of mechatronic systems (Functional Digital Mock-Up – FDMU) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) including data archival.

ECO2Clouds is an FP7 EU project that develops methods, guidelines and technology for enriching cloud computing with means to take into proper consideration ecological concerns, such as energy consumption and CO2 footprint.

TAG CLOUD (Technologies lead to Adaptability & lifelong enGagement with culture throughout the CLOUD) is a European project co-funded by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission that aims to generate lifelong engagement with cultural heritage through social media, augmented reality and storytelling applications based on the cloud.
